Smoke Photos

How this is done:

    To capture the photos of the smoke we used a flash gun. We used a snoot to direct the flash at the smoke given off by a sensy stick. After uploading the pictures on a computer, we used adobe photoshop to edit the color into the smoke. This was done by using a hue/saturation layer on the photos. This is how the different colors were created on the black backgrounds. The same process for the color was completed for the white background photos they were just inverted before.
