Mondrian Style CD Cover

Picture
The photo to the left shows the basic Mondrian style, abstract lines with a blue, red and yellow block. This abstract art style was created by a man named Piet Mondrian. Mondrian used a method called neo-plasticism. This method uses straight vertical and horizontal black lines in an abstract way along with three blocks of the primary colors.

I created the image to the right using Photoshop. First I created the photos of the band Hedley by desaturating the images, using layers and filters and then background colors. Next I opened a new blank file then dragged the three photos onto it. The last step of this process was to add the black lines by using the marquee tool and filling the selections with black.
